someone broke into my house today. . . . .

BIATCHabutuka

out of chaos comes playoffs
wow.

i thought the door felt funny when i unlocked it after work tonight.

got in the house.

immediately, my best tv is gone. what the fuck. looking around, xbox360 gone.

oh crap, the best part of my coin collection is at this location.

they didn't get it. hide in plain sight worked like a charm.

it took me three trips to the car to move my coins and they missed them.

unreal luck. it would have been like someone walking off with a crappy house that could be melted down and still worth a crappy house but probably in a bad neighborhood after destroying so many nice coins.

i don't think anything else is gone but the xbox and tv.

just packed up the coins and my checkbook and what not financial and took off.

i really hate that apartment and since i don't work right in that neighborhood anymore i was thinking about upgrading. pretty sure i am going to now.

might have to go shopping this weekend.

never owned a gun (shoot with friends though). think i will now.

going to go almost exclusively to safe deposit box now. been carrying around a card with the various sizes and costs. will gladly pay whatever for the safety. my luck, this is where the banks will go on holiday permanently and i won't have access to them when i need them the most.

going to try and photograph the coins this weekend and then just look at pics instead of coins when i want to. still going with some storage outside the bank too but that is mostly junk silver and beat up gold pieces. won't be able to see the nice shiny like normal.

i will miss the apartment though some.

walking distance to the bars, bicycle distance to old work (doable to new work but not getting done), so many loose women, it will be missed.

thinking about having a last bash before getting out of there by the end of the month (been there long enough i am month to month now).

TVs are better and better values
There's a new xbox
And you're gonna love your new place.. complex with a pool... and babes/MILFs
If you woulda gotten that German Shepherd puppy, you wouldn't need a gun
Chicks dig puppies

BTW it wasn't me.. I woulda left the TV and xbox
but I woulda gotten that kayak and paddles

I can't believe what I'm reading. The Vanilla Gorilla is going to trust his horde to the money changers. The bad winds are rising. Wikilluminati is taking control.

Thanks a lot, Obama.

Seriously tho, fucking thieves suck. Before i had a kid, I always wished a motherfucker would. I keep a tball bat close just in case.

tv wasn't ready for an update but the xbox was.

i doubt i could have got $500 for the pair at a yard sale honestly.

as for cops, debating it.

i have had some new women around lately. pretty sure that is where my suspect is.

possibly not, but it looked like they didn't even look around for anything else. just wanted my tv and xbox apparently.

maybe kids from the neighborhood who have figured out that i only sleep there maybe 2 - 3 days a week.

would rather handle this myself than involve the government.

probably not going to involve the cops, but i am going to go back over there after lunch and i could change my mind.

no checks gone, nothing of significant value, laptop still there, my cameras still there, my passport still there, my bar is still fully stocked.

i don't think anything is gone that someone could use my info to set up a credit card or anything.

i tend to think a man didn't do this. my tools were passed over, no way they didn't see them. grabbed two fairly light items (the xbox wasn't even plugged in and was prepacked for the thief in a plastic crate with all the wires and controllers and most of the games).

still can't believe they didn't grab the coins. that is such a dense and portable store of my labor. not only the wealth, but the coins too. some were gifts from my dead father. some were the first coins i bought as a kid.

telling myself that i am going to stop chasing young (legal young) women to the house. i was pretty good at refusing to give up my phone number and just running into people when i wanted to. going to take the show on the road for now on and not even let them know where i live. at my age the ones i can lure over all have problems. pretty sure my tv bought someone some pain pills by now honestly.

probably in through a window in back and out the main door. will investigate closer today.

as for the money changers, the biggest safety deposit box they have is a 10 x 10 x whatever the depth is. $130/year. basically 1/10th of an ounce of gold or 6 ounces of silver.

this is a service i would glady pay for. it is the original reason banks existed.

i actually am not opposed to fractional reserve lending (where the bank creates money out of thin air in the form of a loan / debt). it is an engine for growth.

the main problem with the money printing / money changing is that they took gold and silver out of money (the original problem was that they tried to fix the ratio between the two, one is the dollar, and the other must float). the next major problem was that we allowed a banking cartel to rise and instead of busting it up, we granted them the exclusive license to counterfeit the US dollar in the form of the federal reserve note. the next problem was that once we allowed the cartel to form, we allowed them to make rules so they couldn't go bankrupt and there couldn't be bank runs. banks had to be bailed out, so did depositors with FDIC insurance. stop the bailouts and get the government out of the business of insuring banks. stop requiring banks to have insurance, but let them buy some and use it in their marketing if they wish too.

do all that and banking is fixed.

come to think of it, it probably was the money changers that broke into my place too.

bastards.

Had my apartment broken into many years ago. I swear it was an inside job by one of the complex workers as there was no forced entry and one had been in my place fixing something that week. They stole a rifle and a big jar of coins and that was about it. Needless to say moved out that week and ate the partial loss of the security deposit.

My neighborhood started getting a little sketchy about ten years ago when they were loaning money to everyone. Since the bubble burst the riffraff has pretty much vacated the premises and it's very peaceful around here. We get the occasional crowd of teens hanging out in the park across the street and playing music too loud but that's about it

Get a security system. Small time thieves see your sign and just go to the next house. You can always cancel your system and keep the sign for later use.
Why get a gun that will be one of the first things stolen by some young thug? Then you have to worry about someone dying by your gun! I owned multiple guns for years out of stupid paranoia. You don't need one.
A TV gets stolen chances are there is a better one for what you get from your insurance company. It's a market thing. A one year old TV has little value. The market has been flooded by cheap TVs. By the way, Walmart has a "back room" for returned TVs. Find a great deal there.

I'm probably naive... I don't think a burglar stands a chance
assuming his M.O. is stealth.. cuz these critters go psycho.. we can calm them down pretty quick when we're here
but I'm pretty sure it's a wild ass scene when we're not

actually when someone comes to the door, I kinda let the craziness go on for a bit in case the person at the door has ulterior motives..
the big male hits the door like a linebacker... shakes the whole frame

pretty sure my repair guys put a big red X on this address

but why would anyone go thru that hassle for my stuff... I have more money in these dogs than I have in my jewelry

my distrusting soul thinks almost every home robbery is someone you've met.. except the shitheads who raid the cars when they're left out
