Some BCS facts for your SEC friends

Living in Atlanta, all I hear is how great the SEC is, especially thUGA! We will not be able to keep up with LSU, you guys are lucky to play in a weak conference, you don't have a conference championship game, blah, blah, blah. I just ask thUGA fans when was the last time you won a championship, then they shut up.

My blood is boiling about this game, and if the players are half as fired up as I am, this game will be over by half time. My boss even said I could take Tuesday off so I don't get too much harassment! NO ONE IS GIVING US A CHANCE down here in SEC land! On the night LSU beat Tennessee for the SEC championship, my wife's company had their Christmas party at the Hilton in Atlanta, which was the same Hilton all the LSU fans stayed at. I was wearing my OSU tie, and the hell I caught from LSU, Tennessee, and SEC fans was unbearable. We left the party early and we went to our room before I got put in jail. I don't know about you guys, but I want a SERIOUS ass beating on Monday night. After seeing 5-6 LSU games this year, we don't have to play our best to beat this team, just play mistake free football. If we play our best, should be an easy win. LSU is not that good!

Go Bucks!!!

Here is a snippet from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution;

"Ohio St, USC, Michigan, and of course as we saw Hawaii play high school teams for eight games in the season. Thats how they get such a great ranking. Of course they have great yards gained per game, passing yards per game, and points per game for the easiness of their schedules. Ohio St has it figured out! Just play simple games and beat Michigan and it is NC."

This is what I have to put up with day in, day out! I don't think OSU can score enough points for my appetite!

Go Bucks!!!

I just don't get the "S.E.C." chant. I really don't. I would feel like a complete moron if I found myself sitting at the Capital One bowl watching Skunkbear and Florida and I started yelling "Big Ten, Big Ten, Big Ten!" It's really absurd. The SEC didnt win the Sugar bowl, Georgia did. The SEC, like the Big Ten, is an imaginary entity. A lose association of real entities for the purpose of mutual benefit. Why not chant "Eastern European Union! EEU! EEU!"

I'm going to have to put up with chants of "A F C!" and "N F C!" at the Pro Bowl next month...totally stupid.

I'm actually gonna pull a shocker here and stick up for the "S-E-C" chants. I mean, if OSU and Michigan can root for each other for the sake of the conference, it's kind of a logical next step to cheer out loud like that. ("Big Ten!" would sound kinda dumb 'cause it's only two syllables.) We always cheered "A-C-C" at basketball games, especially in Big Ten Challenge games and against marquee schools from other conferences (Arizona, Georgetown, etc.) Exalt your conference, exalt your team.

As for "over-rated" pretty classless. Especially in the case of Hawaii who came in 12-0 and was ... what 12th? 10th? and, more importantly... is fucking Hawaii. That's like chanting "over-rated" at a fucking kids soccer game.

I don't get you SEC people.

Pretty ridiculous all around. Sort of like the always classy U...S...A chants. Southerners haven't been allowed to chant C...S...A since the civil war, so I guess that SEC is all they have left.

That's because we have more conference pride and allegiance than you poor souls do. You even heard the SEC chant in Glendale, and we know Vandy was not on the field that day. We just have a deeper conference allegiance than y'all. No you don't get it. That is one reason why we are the better conference....we have much faster allegiances:biggrin:

Thanks a lot Gator.

I just puked all over my keyboard, and Christmas doesn't come for another year.

Well, it's getting nearer to kickoff, and everything is so lovey-dovey still.

Did I mention it is freaking freezing down here?

...It's was in the 20s here in Tallahassee this morning. The Buckeyes are probably feeling right at home in NOLA, where weather.com shows the current temp as 37 degrees F.

It's supposed to be back into the 70s by the weekend though.

Congratulations! That response qualifies you to buy an RV and move to Florida when you are old enough to smarten up and move from rock salt on the roads land!
