I was thinking the exact same thing when the puck went in for the winner. Had a 2-0 lead with under 5 (in reg).

The intention of the foul was there. She threw her body into a Canadian player who only had the goalie to beat. US was lucky the game didn't potentially end there on a penalty shot.

If it were men's, I think that play is correctly called by the official. NHL Officials don't play around.

When you have a 4-on-3 in overtime and the ref calls a love tap five seconds into it to even it up, you have plenty of room to pout. It was atrocious refereeing.
