Snickers commercial pulled...

I thought the commercial was actually pretty damn funny. Piss on the Homo's that were offended. It was one of those "inadvertant" gay moments that I think make everybody laugh. Sorta reminded me of the scene from "Planes, trains, and Automobiles" when Steve Martin and John Candy were in a motel bed together. Martin asks Candy why he kissed his ear and Candy asked Martin why he's holding his hand. Then, Martin asks Candy where his other hand is and Candy responds "between two pillows." If you never saw it, you need to. The "masculine" show that both put on after that was an all-time classic.

Seems it is not just the people at Mars that are in the line of fire for those Super Bowl commercials.

Apparently we now have to worry about suicidal robots. What next? A "community group" is demanding that the offending GM ad never be shown again.

Complaints from community groups have gone further, with several demanding spots run for General Motors Corp.'s Chevrolet and Masterfoods USA's Snickers be withdrawn.
GM became the subject of sharp criticism when The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention complained about the insensitivity of a commercial by the automaker that showed a factory robot leaping from a bridge after it was fired for a making a mistake.
The group said in a statement the commercial "is offensive to the tens of millions of survivors of suicide loss nationwide. In its carelessness, it portrays suicide as a viable option when someone fails or loses their job."
