Not a knock on Ray but there are always "issues". I'm sure we don't know tha half of it. Let's hope he get's his degree and moves on to bigger and better things after this season. NFL or the game of life. Go Bucks!

And that's what's frusterated me so much about this kid! I don't at all hate this kid or wish him any ill will, but the idiotic mistakes that he continues to make, even into his senior have to leave every single Buckeye fan scratching their heads! He went from a guy compared to Ted Ginn, to a guy who is just a special teams player(albeit a decent one, but we brought him in to be WR not PR)! Even with our younger WR corps, I rather throw out a frosh WR and have him get reps than a kid that can't get his academics in order. I'm sure Pete Carrol and the USC fans weren't exactly crying for Mike Williams to come back to their team after he couldn't comeback, and he was probably the best WR in college football when he tried to sue the NFL with Clarrett, we're on here arguing about a glorified return man! Are u kidding me?!? Maybe I'm missing something here, but this kid really isn't worth it. We shouldn't throw him away, but Tress should bench him and move on with the rest of WRs who do go to class and can still play at a high level! Everyone will see that there won't be a fall off if Small doesn't play, we are more than capable of trotting out great athletes, you all have seen our recruiting classes as of recent right?

I've just reviewed every post in this thread since the bowl game. All I see is a guy that had a good spring practice, and needed to do well in the classroom in the summer in order to stay eligible. And that it looks like we'll find that out for sure by Monday.

Other than that, all I see in this thread is a rumor from Bucknuts that he was in the same boat as Rob Rose - a rumor that seemed to be refuted by the statement from Shelly Poe, tOSU's Sports Information Director. A statement I now know that you have noticed.

Well, I also see other things in this thread. I see a few posts by you repeating yourself that you're frustrated with Ray's career and occasional off-the-field issues.

Some players are going to struggle in the classroom. Some players aren't going to develop into stars like some folks hoped that they would.

And that's naturally disappointing to Buckeye fans. But some of us are able to say things like "I wish he would have had a more productive career" or "I hope he's able to finally get it going and have a big senior year" or even "I hope the light comes on".

But others, like you, feel some sick fucking need to continually bitch and moan about minor problems in a player's career, because he hasn't constantly lit things up on the football field. But most of the rest of us don't want to hear that bitching and moaning. And there are players that read this board that don't want to see a Buckeye trashed by somebody that calls himself a Buckeye fan. And for those reasons BP doesn't tolerate bashing of Buckeye players or coaches.

Please cite the 'idiotic mistakes' that he's made recently, or you'll soon get an infraction for bashing a Buckeye player. I'm holding off on the chance that I've missed something.

Its a message board, get over yourself, where fans can state their opinions, you have yours and I have mine! Why would he have his number 4 taken away from him? I'd say because he was making idiotic mistakes! The commentary is told by the media who give us our news and each time they say this kid hasn't performed in classroom or in other activites of being a student athlete! I could care less if you give me an infraction, but many of US as well, think as I do, and are sick of this kid getting into trouble and making a mockery of his opportunity to play the Ohio State University!

Dude, you're waaaay offbase here. The point was you said that the kid wasn't worth it; he's a glorified punt returner, not a star, doesn't deserve us sticking up for him, etc etc. That is player bashing.

Can't say that I think as you do. Next time use the phrase, "some of us" or "a few of us", or even "no one other than myself thinks as I do," because you clearly are the only one constantly slamming Ray and have nothing better to say then "he should be benched, we need to move on and forget him." Maybe you're the one who needs to get over himself.
