Single Game Football Tickets Tips

I have a question. I am planning on coming to the Minnesota game this weekend. If you get to the ticket office early in the morning, where can you park? Are the game day lots already open?

Yes. I believe I read that they open at 4:00 am.

I called Minnesota's ticket office last week... they said they were sold out of OSU tix and would not be returning any.

I called OSU's ticket office this morning and they had no tickets available.

Indiana GameDay

I got there about 7:15 AM. I was probably 30 people back. DID NOT GET TICKETS! :( I was one person away from the window when they closed it. A scalper was the last person to get tickets and I think I heard that he got 12 singles! I think they had a new person in the window. The line moved really slow. I ended up having to buy from a scalper (I wasn't going all that way without seeing the game).

Exact Location?

Can anyone that is intimately familiar with this ticket office location describe or even take a picture of it. I understand that it is on the Southeast side at Lane and Olentangy but it also appears that there are several other lines near it.

I would hate to show up at 4 AM only to be in the wrong place.

Any help, pictures, etc... would be appreciated...

WOW - this is a fun year!

Looking straight at it. The line usually heads West along the Southern side of the Schott parallel to Lane Ave.

Thanks for the info regarding day of game sale tickets at the Schott. I had never heard of this before, and gave it a shot Saturday prior to the Indiana game. I arrived there about 6:45 and was maybe 20th person or so. It was cold! I don't know for sure, but people were saying the 1st guy in line only got singles. (Perhaps trying to get some of the rest of us to drop out of line?) They were selling them 4 to a person , mostly in 5AA 7AA. I got 4 together in 7AA, traded two of them for a pair in 24B, sold the other two. I'm going to try it again for the Michigan game, but not getting my hopes up. Although it was early and freezing cold it was actually kind of fun. I can't remember the last time I paid face value for an OSU ticket! Thanks again for this info regarding tix.

So you did get tickets together, Saturday morning, even 20th in line...that's good info to know. Not that this will always be the case (not likely for scUM), but after they sold out of tix together on Monday, it proves that there are other sources turning tickets in; i.e. even if an opposing school says they are sold out and will not be turning tix back in (like Penn State & Minnesota), that doesn't necessarily mean there will be no tickets available period.

Thanks for sharing. Go Bucks! :osu:

P.S.
And as always, grnvll proved once again that there will be a lot of mis-information floating around regarding tickets at the Public Ticket Office (in line, over the phone, on the internet). Just 'cause someone says there are no tickets, no tickets together, etc. be sure to take the info with a grain of salt and continue to check / ask around...it may be well worth your while.

Yes, 4 tix together. I just asked for the best 4 together. I wonder how they determine what is "best". What may be best for one may be different for another. Maybe I should have asked for best in A deck? best in B deck? best in C ? For myself and the people in front of me the tix all seemed to be in that same area 5 AA and 7 AA.

Homecoming...

Well again, here's what we know from this week at the ticket office:

There were not tickets sold Monday before the game vs. MN...but they had tix Tues. . Then it was reported that they sold out of those, but I heard they got more tickets in and sold some Friday.

This morning (Saturday) there were only about 30 people in line at 8:30 a.m. (but it was cold and rainy on and off, and wasn't vs. scUM :wink2: ) The window was scheduled to open at 11:00 a.m., and by 10:30, there were still only about 30 people! (but it rained pretty hard from 10 - 10:30) Then, promptly at 11:00 a.m. the window opened and more tickets were sold.

SO...every game this season (and last) tickets have been sold at face value at the General Public Ticket Office at minimum the Saturday morning of, and some games even several days the week of. WILL THIS BE THE CASE FOR THE ONLY OTHER REMAINING HOME GAME THIS SEASON (scUM)!?!?! We don't know, but it would seem that if any tickets do become available they would be very, very limited in number and it's anyone's guess when they become available if at all.

Yet either way...what a great game, what a GREAT season...and how sweet it is to watch our Buckeyes, and even sweeter when we can do it without paying a scalper or ebay a right arm and first born. :tongue2:

GO BUCKS!:osu:
