As a Niners fan that saw his tenure crumble first hand, this is MUCH worse. Harbrau’s last year in SF was hugely disappointing, but they actually started 7-4 before coming totally apart in December and finishing 8-8. The offense did regress, but not this extremely. This is just a total collapse. Everyone thought bringing in McDaniel would take the offense and Herbert to the next level, but it’s had the opposite effect. This is what I think SF would have looked like if he was back for year five. The chargers are two years ahead.
