Winning. That's it, that's what NFL teams(and honestly any team in general) cares about. I wouldn't say that Gruden, or Dan Campbell would be considered normal men, and they've had/have NFL HC positions. NFL teams prioritize winning. Hairball is seen as weird and awkward to fans of other teams,
Yeah those are much better comparisons. I was going to say Blake Bortles. But in no was Randle El and Kordell Stewart are the worst comparisons I've seen. That's like saying Blake Corum is Barry Sanders

He has the arm talent and athleticism. He just sucks with decision making. Michigan protected him. The NFL is harsh and will expose QBs that can't hit the deep ball or with shitty decisions. I expect him to get exposed and he will be out of the league in 4-5 years.

The weird Faustian bargain that a team is going to get with Harbaugh is that he probably will turn things around for a few years like he did in SF. Then, his completely dysfunctional personality and all-consuming ego are going to lose the locker room and create a completely toxic environment within the organization...like he did in SF. So, you run him off and then what? Because of the initial success, you really aren't loaded from the draft, and his departure sends you into the tank for several years...like he did in SF.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around how his ego would mesh well with the ego of the average NFL owner, but I am sure both of their egos figure they will be the one truly running the show.

Well, I think SF is a great indication of how well he can integrate his massive ego and a massive insecurity complex that makes him hellbent on showing everybody that he's the smartest guy in the room into a complex NFL franchise of professional players, a front office and ownership. Three straight NFC championship games and a Super Bowl, and at the end, they couldn't run him out of town fast enough.

Yep, and eventually some NFL franchise is going to get desperate enough, feels like this may be the year. The Chargers fit that bill and the Raiders sure as hell do as well if they decide to bring him in.
