SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

I am just overwhelmed by the times in which we live. Let's be honest. Life is a shite sandwich most days in this era. But, we have Ohio State football and the Rivalry remains true and firm.

Valenti needs to shut up!

Jim Harbaugh is the RIGHT COACH at the RIGHT TIME!

Let ye who is without a loss in your lifetime kick the first ball! Let ye who has walked on the hallowed ground blessed by St Bill, that place where the vision truly was born and nurtured, throw out the first cheer.

Down with Valenti! GBUBMYMSOB!

Valenti going hard in the paint on Simple Jim...

I was disappointed he didn't seize on Klatt saying to judge Harbaugh by everything BUT the Game.
As stupid as that is... let's entertain it for a second anyway.

Record against Top 10?
Record against Top25 on the road?
Record as underdog?
... I don't know those off the top of my head, but I'm certain they're not good.

Bowl record? 1-3
ND? 1-1
PSU? 2-3
Wisconsin? 2-2
MSU? 3-2
Placement in Division? 3,3,4,2,3

Looks like he may have finally beat off Sparty... but their downfall is internal, having little to do with Harbaugh.
The rest is underwhelmingly average... of the 4 teams that regularly swap those top 2 spots... Harbaugh is the only one to never see Indianapolis. And even if he did, I'm doubtful he'd beat Wisconsin.

I respect Klatt but it’s hard to disagree with MV there.

Klatt is a bellend. We've cozied up to him a little because it's been over a decade since the B1G had any advocates in media to counter ESPN's interests... Fox is finally stepping their representation up to go along with their monetary investment.
But nobody should confuse this... he could get hired by CBS tomorrow and start choking on Bama.

The best is the one area where Cowherd and Klatt do get it kind of right.
What does scUM do if Harbaugh leaves?
As silly as their defense of him is, the threat of him leaving them for the NFL does cut deep.

This is the point that seems to be getting lost in the "he just has an OSU problem".

What's he done to separate himself from Franklin and PSU should that moment ever come when OSU slides back to the pack?

On paper he's slightly out recruited Franklin (by overall class rankings) but the results on the field paint a pretty damning picture of player development and roster management. As in Jimmah is really bad at it and Franklin is much better.

Franklin just got an extension and if there magically was no OSU it seems like Rainman would still only be winning his division every other year or so. Maybe less.

You show them with one second place finish in the Division.

Are you forgetting that they were Division Co-Champions that year?

They have banners and all.

Going by the data available so far... which is admittedly limited, but also includes Hoke's loaded roster and 1 great class he's unlikely to ever repeat...

Best case scenario -- based on win% against PSU and Wiscy...
Harbaugh would go to Indy 40% of the time. And win 50% of the time.
Harbaugh might get a B1G title once every 5 years.

Based on Division ranking so far and Wiscy...
Harbaugh would go to Indy 20% of the time. And win 50% of the time.
Or once every 10 years.
