This guy has seemed pretty in the know throughout the Bears saga, amd he's saying the Bears were interested until Simple Jim threw a non-negotiable demand for 10 years/100M on the table.

* Owner has interviewed two people officially (Mayo - Rooney Rule; the interim guy - due diligence for team)
* Some talking heads saying he wants to hire the GM and have that guy hire the coach. (1) if this is true, why did he interview the two candidates? (2) Really? This bozo isn't handing that decision over to anyone.
* If he wants to interview anyone else currently under NFL contract, he needs to notify the office and it will become public knowledge.
* His crazy, non-awareness matches Jimmie's crazy, non-awareness
Hopefully, Jimmie doesn't go full 10yr/100mill as that might kill it.
