Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
In an appearance on Sportscenter, ESPN’s Pete Thamel stated that Harbaugh and the Las Vegas Raiders have expressed mutual interest.
“The safest thing we can say about Jim Harbaugh is that he’ll get a new deal this year,” stated Thamel. “Whether that comes from Michigan, or that comes from the NFL. The Raiders is the destination he’d be most likely to go in the NFL. He has a relationship with Mark Davis, he was their quarterback coach in 2002. Jim Harbaugh and Mark Davis are wild cards. They’re two big, polarizing personalities. Whether that bonds them together or makes it more complicated remains to be seen. But there is at least mutual interest, each are peaking at each-other now.
“The Raiders still have to run a process, and they need a GM,” he continued. “So nothing would be imminent with Jim Harbaugh in the upcoming days. But I do think those sides are going to feel each-other out as we go forward.”
Thamel: ‘Harbaugh has always kind of kept his eye on the NFL.’
Furthermore, Thamel stated that this isn’t new for Harbaugh. The former San Francisco 49ers coach has always kept an eye on the NFL throughout his time with Michigan.
“Harbaugh has always kind of kept his eye on the NFL as its gone forward,” stated Thamel. “He went – I believe – 40-14-1 as an NFL coach. He currently has the fifth best winning percentage of any NFL coach in history. Higher than Bill Belichick, higher than anyone.
“He was elite as an NFL coach, and he’s certainly always kept an eye on that, and in an openness to listen to different jobs.”

If you look at what the Raiders are doing (HC interviews set up so far, dumping the GM), it's all lining up for Jimmie.

Uh, if he is the fifth winningest percentage of any NFL coach ever, then he's not the winningest coach ever...there are four other coaches with a higher percentage.

So gross. I'm willing to pay the Raiders-continue-to-suck tax as long as it means Michigan hires a clown show. It's still gross.

Here's the thing - I think Simple Jim can be successful in the NFL again. I think his style translates better to the pro game than college. The Raiders have a pretty decent QB. They have some talent on the roster. I could see him having similar early success in Vegas as the Bay Area. But, again, the bugaboo with Harbrau is you have a narrow window to win because after a couple of years, his sheer lunacy grates on everyone around him, the front office doesn't want to deal with him and the players stop wanting to play for him. He had 3 very, very good years in SF, then the wheels came off in year 4. I could see a repeat. Also, don't count on him doing very well against rivals, and he will pee down his leg when the pressure is on in the playoffs.

There's a post on the Raiders sub reddit talking about how the interim head coach was such a breath of fresh air as they got deeper into the season as opposed to the way Gruden was just a dick.
These same morons want Harbaugh.

Which NFL Coaches Have the Highest Winning Percentage Ever?
Guy Chamberlin
First on the list is Guy Chamberlin, who dominated football with a .783 win percentage during the 1922-27 seasons. Chamberlin was 28 years old when he started coaching for the Canton Bulldogs. He spent two years in Canton before making short stops in Cleveland, Frankford and Chicago.
Chamberlain won four NFL Championships during his six-year stint as a coach. Chamberlin also racked up two championships in his time as a player.
John Madden
The late John Madden comes in at an impressive second place with a .759 winning percentage during his tenure as a coach. Madden only served as head coach for the Oakland Raiders, garnering a record of 103-32-7. Madden also won a Super Bowl during his time coaching in California.
Vince Lombardi
Legendary Green Bay Packers head coach Vince Lombardi was the winningest coach of his era. He won five NFL titles, including the first two Super Bowls, and had a .738 winning percentage in his 10-year coaching career from 1959 to 1969. Lombardi’s winning legacy is recognized at the Super Bowl each year as the championship trophy carries his name.
George Allen
The fourth entry on the list is George Allen, who spent five seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and seven with Washington. While Allen had a 116-47-5 record in the regular season (.712 winning percentage), he went just 2-7 in his coaching career during the playoffs.
Jim Harbaugh
Jim Harbaugh comes in at No. 5 on the all-time list with a .695 winning percentage, though his tenure in the NFL was short. Harbaugh coached four seasons for the San Francisco 49ers before landing his job at the University of Michigan.
Harbaugh’s time in San Francisco led the team out of a rough period in which they hadn’t made the playoffs since 2002. In the end, Harbaugh brought the team to a Super Bowl in which he lost against his brother, John, who coaches the Baltimore Ravens.
Tommy Hughitt
You need to go back 100 years to find the No. 6 coach by winning percentage. Tommy Hughitt coached the Buffalo All-Americans from 1920 to 1924, picking up a .694 winning percentage. The first two seasons came when Buffalo was a part of the American Professional Football Association before the organization moved to the NFL in 1922.
Blanton Collier
Blanton Collier lands at No. 7 after coaching the Cleveland Browns from 1963 to 1970. The team had a .691 winning percentage under Collier and won the 1964 NFL Championship. It is the last time the franchise ended a season with a title.
Ray Flaherty
The eighth-best winning percentage belongs to Ray Flaherty, who spent time with three different organizations. He won two championships with Boston/Washington from 1936 to 1942 before moving to the All-America Football Conference, where he spent three years with the New York Yankees and one year with the Chicago Hornets. The Hall of Famer ended his 12-year coaching career with a .684 winning percentage.
Sean McVay
Who would have thought someone other than Bill Belichick would be the active leader in winning percentage?
The Rams have won .684 of their games since Sean McVay took over as head coach in 2017. The team is 11-4 on the year entering Week 17 and is on track to win the NFC West title. L.A. reached the playoffs in three of McVay’s first four seasons and even made it to a Super Bowl, where his Rams lost to … Belichick’s New England Patriots.
Belichick is No. 13 on the list with a .671 career winning percentage. He would be No. 4 on the all-time list if we were just including his Patriots winning percentage (.721), but he had a .450 winning percentage across his five seasons with the Cleveland Browns earlier in his career.
George Halas
Tenth on the list is legendary Chicago Bears founder George Halas with a .682 winning percentage. Halas coached in Chicago for 40 seasons, winning 497 games and six NFL championships.
