SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

Pagano will be out with the Colts, now becoming official. I'm not ready for him to leave but I would love seeing Simple Jim's name thrown around for a laugh.

Hope the conversations really start flying before 1:00 EST 1/1/18. Will be fun to hear him field that question after the B1G goes 7-1 in Bowl Season.

:pimp:

If you're feeling pressure to finish off the B1G's bowl season at 8-0, Jim, just lay down and relax right here, and feel free to relieve your bowels.

Uncle Billy didn't have his troops march to the sea and capture Charlestown just to watch northern folks root for South Carolina. "Oh, we'll rally round the flag boys, rally once again, shouting the battlecryof freedom!" Go Blue!

we went to war with that state up north long before the ones down south

Hate that Michigan record for Coop, but hey: 1) He brought Buckeye's back to recruiting Cincinnati, healed open wounds between OSU and SW Ohio coaches, cutting off the direct line to South Bend and Ann Arbor. 2) He recruited nationally and got the Bucks on front covers and prime-time TV. 3) He was 2 and OH against Notre Dame which, if you lived down here, you would realize was a YUGE deal. 4) He recruited the heart of the 2013 - 14 team.

I assume you mean 03-04 teams?

Regardless, fuck him.

2-10-1...other than that Mrs Lincoln how did you enjoy the play?

Ask yourself this; what would Ohio State football have looked like under another 12 years of Earl? Who else was available at the time that could restore the recruiting level and gotten the program up to essentially where it was when Tress took over, and where it has stayed under Urban?

I do not recall the coaching carousel in 1987.

John Cooper presided over the longest sustained period of darkness and mediocrity in modern Ohio State football history. Was the talent down when he took over? Sure, but it took him six years to even begin to put the talented teams he's remembered for on the field (1993). When he did start to recruit the monster talent he consistently underachieved with it.

He was a mediocre coach by big time CFB standards. Elite coaches don't need 6 years for a turnaround (looking at you harbaugh), they don't get owned by their rivals (again Jimmy) and they don't get owned in Bowl games.
