Should Grossman be the Bears starter next year?

Best Buckeye

Pretending I'm a pleasant person is exhausting.

What will Rex's fate be next year? Start, Backup, be traded?

I think he will start, only because of the time and money the Bears have put into him. But he better produce from the start.

I think he'll start and depending on who is backing him up, I don't think his leash will be as short as some thing it will be....

Maybe the thread title should read will instead of should...he will, and he will have no leash...he will not be benched no matter how bad he plays.

Funny about Orton...he was relegated to the bench for good for playing as well as Grossman, basically.

He did QB them to the Super Bowl. I would say he will be the starter, but would not be shocked for him to not end the year the starter. Not convinced Griese is the answer either. Certainly not Orton. They should have held on to Krenzel. :biggrin2:

Grossman is going to be run out of Chicago. He played horrible tonight, and I'd be surprised if he starts another game for the Bears. Look for them to draft a QB, or pick up someone in free agency.

They did the and didn't use him, or Orton for that matter. The fans have wanted to see Orton gone since the Arizona game, but the coach and GM will have none of it, no matter what.

He did not QB them to the SB. They got to the SB in spite of Rex Grossman's inept quarterbacking.

they aren't drafting a qb, then have orton, whose young and bad, and griese, who's decent.

grossman's biggest problem is his decision making under pressure.

i really hate that team and I cant wait til they fade to mediocrity

Orton doesn't appear too relevant after he was plummeted to 3rd on the depth chart (whether it was to protect Rex's psyche or not). Will he factor into their future at all?

Griese is 31. Will he still be useful when they finally admit the truth about Rex's limitations?

I keep hearing that, but he seemed to force the ball downfield without pressure as well... failing to understand that Berrian is not a jump ball WR.

Why do you hate them? I am bothered by their stubbornness over Rex, but love the way they play defense.

Exactly.

Grossman's ineptitude got showcased on the biggest stage in the world tonite. The Bears got here with Tressel ball. Nice running game, solid defense and special teams. If it wasn't for the fact that this guys sucks, he'd probably be investigated for the INT for TD that sent the game OVER the point spread.
