Should Grossman be the Bears starter next year?

I think he needs to go, but Griese isn't the solution for them. Odds are they will be looking into free agency and/or the draft for some potentials to take his spot. His faults really shined in the Superbowl and he hasn't really felt like he was permanently the QB all year, the fans don't like him and it seems like the team looks at him in a "don't fuck this up" way rather than "lets go kick some ass."

to answer the question YES and this is why it was his 1st real year as a starter and Lovie thnks he has what it takes, I do however think this will be his last chance to prove he has it if next year he does not get it togather look for the bears to do something.

Yes Rex Grossman will start next year only because he "led" his team to the Super Bowl. Rex won games, in an ugly fashion, but he did. Will he start? Yes. Will he be good? No, he will have another inconsistant, shitty, on the edge of being benched season. IMO

Was rex's super bowl perfomance the worst ever for a bowl loser/winner?

IMO, no it wasnt. Grossman threw for about 170 with 1 TD and 2 pics and 2 fumbles. Yes those stats are awful, but im not sure they are the worst ever. Yea the interceptions are awful, especially when you throw more pics than TDs, but he still managed 170 and 1 TD, in the pouring rain. I wouldnt say that is the worst ever. A bad Super Bowl game for a QB would be like 50-100 yards, like 4 fumbles, no tds and like 2-3 INTs. I dont know if that will ever happen or if it has happened or even if those stats could be realistic, but Rex's game wasnt the worst ever.

I think the Super Bowl where the Broncos were steamrollered by the Redskins was easily the worst performance in John Elway's career, but he didn't have a direct impact like Grossman's mistakes did IMO.

Jim Kelly had some miserable performances in the Super Bowl too (one against the Redskins, another against the Cowboys)....

There have been some bads ones, Grossman had a bad one but I don't think it's the absolute worst ever.
