I've wrestled my whole life and we never did that (St. Paris Graham wasn't big on the frills like lighted matches...we wrestled in a barn basically). Definetely gives it a cool atmosphere though, I like it. I didn't know Dymonte was a wrestler though, pretty neat.

The closest I ever saw was at the State tournament they would black out St. John for the introductions prior to the final matches. The wrestlers names would be called and you'd be hit with a spotlight as you ran out to shake your opponent's hand.

It was definitely awesome.

Almost mentioned that, the March of Champions...and yes, one of the top experiences I've had in my life was running out there  Anyways, I'll stop reminiscing and say back to Dymonte.

Preparing Linebackers for the Pros (split from Marcus)

UNC's had staff turnover. He's probably most familiar with the ECU staff. He was under the radar for awhile, but I'd bet they've been on him a long time. Not to mention that he can probably start from Day 1 there as well.

As far as the NFL argument, if you can play, you can play. The NFL will find you.

This is true, but there's a reason that OSU sends almost every one of their linebackers to the NFL.

This.

Uh, not really.

In the last ten years, the following linebackers were drafted:

Ross Homan
Brian Rolle
Austin Spitler
James Laurinaitis
Marcus Freeman
Larry Grant
AJ Hawk
Bobby Carpenter
Anthony Schlegel
Rob Reynolds
Cie Grant
Matt Willhelm
Courtland Bullard

Is that not just about all of our starters at LB? Even a guy like Spitler who only started a year.

On the flip side, ECU has not had a LB drafted since 1994.

Do you not think A.J. Hawk would've been drafted if he had played at a MAC school?
