There's hitting the freshman wall and then there's hitting the freshman wall so hard the whole building collapses in on you.
Luther's +/- at NEGATIVE SIXTY for B1G play is, let's say... telling.
He still started last night but only played 8 minutes. I think he is coming out of the starting line-up and CJ is coming back in. Let him see the game first, let him find his energy, and use him for situational D. Maybe used more sparingly and with less pressure, he can end his season on a high note--because he was certainly having a good frosh campaign for more than half of the season. I'd love for him to have some good vibes at the end of it.
yep. given muhammad's tenacity, especially on defense, it certainly seems like he shot himself out of the cannon to start the season without having the experience to appreciate just how long and demanding the college season is. even his defense has taken a hit as a result. over the last few games, i think i've seen him stand upright more than had all the games before. and he's getting his head turned around a lot.his shot hasn't been falling and his energy has been low as of late which to me just tells me that his legs are gone and that it's messing with his head
In many ways, just watching this guy is a microcosm of the whole team. He looks like he is wildly lost in a hopeless attempt to make an impact. All gumpsion, no direction. He’s like Chris Farley in Tommy Boy. And I love Luther. It’s not a direct criticism of him. Just using his on court performance to compare to the team struggles in general. I have said before that I think he will benefit greatly from having true scorers around him. He definitely can help the team long-term. In that way I view him as having more potential than Moose as an example.
