I would not take the redshirt off of Kam for this year.. I think it would be very unfair to him to play less than half the season in lieu of getting a full season just because he had an illness. Also, I do not know where you would put him this year. I think Matta knows what he is doing and to question him is pretty stupid IMO.

the decision was made to redshirt Kam and I would stick with it.

If this team was truly in contention for a National Title and the conditions warranted burning the redshirt, sure. But this team is barely in tournament contention and seems to flailing without a lifeline.

I was at the Minnesota game and specifically watching him in the pre-game shoot around. He doesn't miss. Firing 3 after 3 about 4-5 feet behind the arc, and just never misses. Sure would be helpful when facing a 2-3 zone.... uuuuugh.

my son was watching the game sat night with me and he noticed how excited/engaged Kam was on the bench. Had to rewind it a few times after one of Sam's monster dunks but it sure appeared Kam was having the time of his life.

Yeah, I think Kam could be helping this team this year. But I guess it was an either-or proposition with him and ADV, they weren't both going to get a role this season & apparently the mono put him back behind ADV. I did try to check out Kam in pregame warmups earlier this month and it appeared to me that he has put on some muscle, there was more thickness to him than I had seen before. He wasn't making every shot, though.

Kam can definitely handle the pill....and so can Russell we are going to be much improved in that area next year....I can see both of them coming off of screens and knocking down jumpers..... both are guards you have to go under screens on or they will make you pay. We are going to enjoy our guard play next seasson....at least offensively.

I don't see Kam at PG but let's be honest, we have seen three consecutive poor 3-point shooting teams at OSU. Kam is a shooter with range, he will at least get the minutes that ADV had last season (perhaps having to compete with Kam is part of why ADV left).

I think $300,000 is the reason ADV left:biggrin2: That would far outweigh any playing time if I were him.
