SG Jon Diebler (2nd-Most Big Ten career 3-Pointers, Butler Recruiting Director)

OT - Kyle Lamb cannot piossibly get enough credit for what he was done at Bucknuts. This interview with Diebler is just another example. Any moron could have taken over the basketball side of things at BN when Thad came in and the recruiting whirlwind begun, but Kyle has gone above and beyond. Kyle, Greg Powers, Dave Biddle and Bill Greene do a heck of a job for BN/Scout.

I left BN in the middle of a hissy fit, which sometimes makes it tough for me to give credit where it is due. But you are dead on with Lamb. He does his HW, posts intelligently and takes the heat well.

Diebler to sign on with Buckeyes

Upper Sandusky senior Jon Diebler will sign his national letter of intent Wednesday to play basketball at Ohio State University.

A 6-foot-7, 190-pound guard/forward, Diebler gave an oral commitment more than a year ago to play for the Buckeyes. He originally committed at the end of his sophomore season to Valparaiso, where older brother Jake is currently a sophomore.

Diebler was a unanimous Division II All-Ohio selection last year after averaging 34.8 points and 9.7 rebounds, shooting 52 percent from the field. He led the Rams to the district finals last year, and he and Jake led the team to the Division II state title in 2005.

The Rams? star has 2,106 points entering this season and needs 853 to surpass Jay Burson (New Concord John Glenn, 1981-85) as the state?s all-time leading scorer. Recent Willard graduate has the Northern Ohio League scoring record with 2,199 points.
