City: Buford scores 29 in Libbey victory

Libbey got off to a slow start last night in its City League game at Whitmer, but the Cowboys recovered for a 75-68 victory over the Panthers.
William Buford led Libbey (2-0, 1-0) with 29 points, including 15 in a competitive third quarter, and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Brad Burton added 14 points and Brad Sandridge 11.
Ryne Smith led Whitmer (1-1, 0-1) with 24 points, Dave Sweeney added 22 and Antwan Willis had 16.
Whitmer led 13-10 after one quarter, the game was tied at 31 at the half and the Cowboys took a four-point lead into the final quarter.
Whitmer outscored Libbey 23-16 at the free throw line and 5-1 in 3-pointers.

Kinda upset that I didnt get to stay for this game, but saw the first couple minutes and was impressed with what I saw, but can't really give an educated opinion on his game.

More on Buford's performance against Chillicothe. Buford dealt with foul trouble eary, scored 17 points in the 3rd quarter alone after sitting most of the first half. Finished with 23 points and 9 rebounds in the win.
