Father knew best.
?Before the season started, I told him, ?This is going to be your hardest season,? ? the father of Ohio State senior William Buford said last week.
William Buford Sr. told his son he wasn?t going to be the Player of the Year in the Big Ten because, if any Ohio State player was, it would be star center Jared Sullinger.
He also told his son he wasn?t going to be the conference?s Defensive Player of the Year, either, because if any of his teammates was, it would be disruptive guard Aaron Craft.
What did Buford Sr. foresee for his son?
?You?re the only senior,? he told him, ?so when you have a bad game, you?re getting blamed.?
How?s that for a premonition?
