bp has a policy that prohibits the posting of player tweets; therefore, my initial post was a poor attempt at an end-around. :paranoid:

i thought about posting a quatrain instead but figured that my message would have been too clear.

Thank you BG for clarifying.

No player tweets on the board? I didn't know that. I take it something bad happened in the past?

Still confused here. I wasn't trying to be rude, I just don't understand the game here.

Do you guys know something about Q that you can't share with the board?

What's the secrets and run-around all about.

Is Ross returning next month?

A) Yes
B) No
C) You don't know

I believe that the implication is that Ross believes that he has accomplished what he needs to do in order to return in December. Before that, he was implying that he was getting his work done and making the needed progress.

That is not based on any knowledge other than my reading comprehension of OBG's post. From that, I drew conclusion A.

I did not conclude whether or not OBG's source was indeed a Twitter feed. :paranoid:

3 options too many for ya Luda?:pirate1:

Well, I like my chances if I have a 50% chance to get it right. It?s really simple. Just think of it like this....

If Diebler shoots 50% from three point range and someone else shoots 33%, who do you want taking the last three to win the game?

:bonk: Maybe a bad example......

In the space below please discuss whether Ross will return to the team in December. Draw a conclusion and provide supporting arguments. Your answer should not be less than 800 words nor more than 2,000.

Points will be deducted as appropriate for spelling, grammar and illogical arguments.

The latest on LaQuinton Ross

LaQuinton Ross still plans to return to the Ohio State men's basketball team next month but has not yet completed the requirements to achieve freshman eligibility.

I spoke with his former prep school coach, Wilson Arroyo of Life Center Academy in Burlington, N.J., a few days ago, and Arroyo said Ross is at home in Jackson, Miss., taking online courses to make up for the math and English courses in which he received "D" grades his freshman and sophomore years of high school.

The grades had been changed to "C" on his final transcript because of a grade-scale change in Mississippi, but the NCAA Eligibility Center ruled they should be restored to the original grade. Because of that, Ross' final core-course grade-point average, combined with his SAT score, was not sufficient for freshman eligibility according to the "sliding scale" used by the NCAA.

Arroyo said Ross is "targeting the end of the month" to complete the online courses.

After that, he plans to take the SAT again, on Dec. 3, to try to achieve a higher score and improve his odds of becoming eligible.

If he does, he could rejoin the basketball team Dec. 9, the day after final exams for the fall quarter are completed.

I think come December, we will already have a good rotation established. He will need a couple weeks of practice to get up to speed and by then we are in Big 10 season. I just don't see a scenario where he contributes this year.

He will absolutely contribute this season (if he does come back).

He's that good.

Doesn't it take longer than 6 days to get the SAT scores?

Re: If Ross does become eligible, Arroyo said he wants to play this season rather than redshirt.......His talent is undeniable, though, which has led to speculation that he is considering playing only one season of college.

If he has no intention of staying in college 4 years there would be no reason to redshirt.
