You guys missed the most obvious thing.. top right.. girl on girl in highschool baby.

And the bottom left quarter of the circle had two blue dots connected. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Researchers interviewed 832 of the approximately 1,000 students at the school. Students were asked to identify their sexual and romantic partners in the past 18 months from a roster of other students attending their school. (Romantic relationships were ones in which the students named the other as a romantic partner. Non-romantic sexual partners were those in which the participants said they had sexual intercourse, but were not dating).

So they are basing this on the truthfulness of high school students.....:roll1:

I can see it now. "Oh yeah... I fucked her... her ....her ...her.... her.... her and her."

NEXT!!!!

I did her... her.... her... her... and her

NEXT!!!!

(and as Hubbard pointed out) I did him...him...him...him and her (NICE). :groove:

-edit-

NEXT!!!!

(and as Bucky Katt pointed out) I fucked her...her...her...and him (EEEEWWWW) :sick1:

-edit#2-

NEXT!!!!

(and as 23 pointed out) Just him!!!! :bonk:

All the pink on pink and blue on blue participants I've noticed have swung both ways. Actually, there is 1 guy in the top right that hasn't -- but his partner did.
It looks like there are more promiscuous girls than guys too. And the promiscuous girls tend to keep their network isolated.
The report itself wasn't very interesting though. Hoenstly, the long chain is what I would have expected to see... and it's never been a mystery to me that even just a couple people using condoms/protection would go a long way in breaking up the spread of diseases.

Except that the cases of promiscuity are limited, especially for the guys... I agree that their complete honesty is doubtful, but obviously your examples don't even reflect the data they actually got.

Was just having some fun with it. There is obviously a huge margin of error in any study like this.
There is a blue dot connected to 9 pink ones and a pink connected to 4 blues and a pink. Those are obviously the exceptions to the rule but they are there.

I don't know... just thinking about it a little more (the offseason is boring...), they interviewed over 80% of the school.
So, within that 80%, they should have been able to verify all those connections. If a guy said he had sex with 6 different girls... and the 3 of the girls don't report it, you can throw those 3 out. Either way, there will be some incongruities -- in our social stereotypes, the girls may be more apt to leave some sexual encounters out and the guys might add some. But the data doesn't seem to reflect that tendency either...

I think you are right, 23skidoo. You need both actors in a pair to confirm before you accept, but kids could still have fun with it.

Speaking of fun with it, did that guy with the nine girls have three girls who had relations with each other? Do I read that right? If so, I am a bit surprised by how candid all of the participants have been in the study.

And wondering what happened in my high school years.

Nah, I think they just ran out of room and those dots are kind of bumping against eachother.
I think it'd be a lot more interesting if, at the end, every participant was given a sheet of who mentioned them. Watch the drama ensue...
