CBS pregame show is predictably nauseating. All the "analysts" are furiously lobbying for an SEC rematch in the NCG.

I'd love to see a collection of their quotes today put up alongside the quotes from the 2006 SECCG arguing furiously against the notion of an intra-conference rematch.

Can't speak for the clowns in the studio but I do remember Gary Danielson was opposed to a rematch in 2006 and has said recently he does not support a rematch for Bama-LSU, either.

I will be very curious to see if he's still singing that tune during today's broadcast, or if the suits got to him and told him to can it.

i've heard him speak on this a few times in recent weeks.

he sounds like he's accepted that it will happen, but he sounds miserable when talking about it.

surprisingly, on radio and in print, CBS seems to be one of the front-runners in the anti-rematch group.

Not sure how much Danielson will be allowed to say in the booth, but I wouldn't be overly shocked to hear him support Okie Lite somehow during the game.

I haven't watched a lot of CBS SEC coverage this year, but that little half hour thing they had after the NC-UK basketball game was essentially a 30 minute advertisement for a rematch.

If Danielson is sticking to his guns and remaining consistent on the rematch issue, good on him. Such intellectual consistency, however, has probably ruined any future opportunities with the worldwide leader however.
