I do not believe that even if there was a signed deal between the two sides that the Seahawks could come out and announce it. The NFL has very strict rules that anytime there is a coaching search minority candidate(s) must be officially interviewed. Perhaps this is what the owner is in the process of putting in place.

But the bottom line is, Carroll's agreement with Seattle is "100 percent done," one NFL source close to the situation said.

Agreed. They are still loaded with talent and can be the cornerstone of west coast football for some time. Just can't fathom a different reason than, he sees the writing on the wall.
