Nebraska will pay Arkansas State a $1.65 million guarantee to play in Lincoln in 2017, a source confirmed to CBS Sports. That may be a national record for a nonconference game payment. Arkansas State is set to receive $1.3 million for playing at USC earlier this month.
Just sayin': The cost of getting a "cupcake" team for one of your nonconference games is sure going up.
