Thank you...I'm in a very tight squeeze right now. Just found out my parents are cutting me off, and I get to pay for the rest of undergrad and grad + living costs, etc. If I had my choice, I'd go to the games I've bought, but I can't afford to not sell my tickets (and they aren't for an outrageous price). Good to see someone else understands and acknowledges what some people (for some, even worse off than me) are going through.

I can completely understand that man, nothing wrong with it. I am pretty hard up on money this year myself. I just had to find some creative ways to pinch together some money for this one. I am in school right now and am very tight as well. But that being said, this game was scheduled back in a time when I had money. I will have money again sometime soon once I'm through with school. The memories of being at these big games, to me, are larger than the monetary aspect. That being said, nothing wrong with being smart with your money. :wink2:

Just so everyone can see how the market drops dramatically, I went on craigslist checking for tix to Navy. I understand it isn't the same Big Night Game deal as USC but the principle is the same. Craigslist right now most A level seats going for 75-80 per and could probably get student tix for ALOT less. Again don't get on me because its not USC, I understand that. But people realize when it gets within a day to a day and a half away that their asking price has to go down. Navy tix last week were going for 200-275 for a pair in C deck. I expect that if you search hard enough you will find decent(maybe not good-great) USC tix for somewere in the 200-300 range a day or so before the game. The whole process is one large game of "chicken" and you have to stay patient because time is on your side. Good Luck all and as always....

Lots of good thoughts on this topic... Last year I bought 4 tickets to USC with the sole intent of selling them, BECAUSE there was no way possible that I could afford to fly out, find a hotel, etc. I got them at face straight from USC at like 320 for all 4. I sold them for 1200 the week before the game. In the weeks leading up to that seats were going for 4-6 hundred a seat. The week of the game they dropped to about 200 so it is all about being risky. With that said, I agree this is nowhere near Texas of 05, when scalpers were still getting 250 @ halftime. I'm just lucky one of my employees decided she had no need for her student tickets this year :)

ticket prices

Folks, first dont pay attention to media stories about ticket prices.Reporters call up "ticket brokers" and ask them "how much are OSU vs USC tickets going for?" What kind of prices do you think brokers are going to quote? Also just becuase one jackass buys a pair for a grand does not mean thats the going price. Here is what the OSU/USC tickets are worth > 250/pair for bad seats, 400/pair for average seats 550.00/pair for good seats and 750.00/pair for great seats..If you pay more then this your a moron and your just driving up the prices. The above prices will be what you will be able yo pay on game day.If you wont mind sitting by yourself, you will get even better prices..People have some balls, dont panic and think you need tickets in your hand 5 days before the game!!

This Craigslist post sums it all up..

Normally I would agree with this but having had season tickets for many years now and NEVER selling them for more than face value I had the misfortune last year of selling one of my tickets to a "FAN" who said they were going to the game, low and behold when I arrived at my seat there was a stranger next to me that paid nearly 3 times the price I sold the ticket for.
Fool me once is all the chance you get, I am not sure I can make the USC game yet but I will have the tickets with me at the Navy game but I can assure you they will not go for face even if I have to eat them.:shake:

I can see where you sit so I''ll interject that in the over 50 years that I have been a Buckeye I have never sold a ticket for more than face value. And once or twice I made the same scalper error that you did but I just shrug it off.
I have paid more at times and I guess it's ok if anyone does, but I can't see treating a fellow fan like that. I've never paid over 80 for one, and I would love to go to the USC game but won't because of the prices.

Let's see 8pm game time, thousands of intoxicated people, DUI task force
working overtime, cost of tickets, my 55 inch HDTV and a hot tub at home with my beer=Priceless

Maybe when I get older I'll feel the same way. :wink2:

You cannot substitute being at a big game. The atmosphere is electric and you just might witness something that they will write stories about someday.

hmmm...im still looking for tickets but you guys seem to think prices will drop in the next 7 days...i get nervous if i dont have tickets, especially since im flying out from VA...but i guess being patient may pay off as sellers will have to lower prices...but i wonder if it will be super hard to buy tickets day of game around the stadium?

even if you can't find something before you come out... it will truly be a feeding frenzy to dump and buy tickets on craigslist and around the stadium starting at like 9 AM. Also there is a good chance that gameday will be here so will have more people down around the stadium. If you have money to spend for em, you'll find tix no prob.

well unfortunately my dad likes to be cheap and i suspect may try to get tix for as close to face value as possible but ofcourse he doesnt want to sit in the endzone or corners...and id personally like to be in 20-50 yd line zones even if its C deck....

if someone just offered 23C 20 rows up for 575 a pair...would you think thats a good price for this game---...or should i take my chances and a possible stress attack and wait for game day (possibly strangling my dad if he turns down too many offers and we dont end up buying tix till 5 min before/after the game starts--which has happened before LOL)

so would most of you consider 23C 20 rows up to be

-horrible
-bad
-okay
-good
-very good
-amazing

Im thinking between good and very good i hope, no obstructions there, right?
