Market is still awfully high. Just have to be patient. After the Navy game is over the tix will start their decline in price and by 12 on thurs people will enter panic mode. If they haven't sold their tix they will become reasonable about it. People don't understand the economy and how most would rather enjoy time with friends then to spend rent or mortgage money on one game. I estimate that regular tix will end in the 150-250 per range on sat and student tix like 100-125 per on game day. Even sclaped tix will be reasonable at 8-815 pm on sat night. Student tix still about 250-300 per right now and most upgraded or non student tix in the 300-400 per range on craigslist.

Keep in mind that the amount of student tickets for this game are limited, as only 8,000 were made available for students as compared to the 30k or so for most games

What do you guys think the average price of a ticket will be in each part of the stadium (south stands, north end zone, east stands and west stands) on the secondary market?

On one hand this game is huge, but on the other hand, we are in a down economy and are there really 100,000 people with a few thousand dollars to burn?

Also don't forget that there are a lot of people looking to make a little extra scratch, which increases the demand.

Don't you mean that increases the supply? More people looking to dump their tickets to make extra cash. I feel like it will be just like every other big game here. There are always tix for a decent price you just have to look hard for em some times. The hard work has always paid off for me.

Yeah.....you get what I meant. :wink2:

I have had the same luck as you by shopping around.

So what do you think average price will end up being?

My guess is somewhere around $200-210. You will find them cheaper on the week of the game, I guess you have to figure out how ballsy you want to be. I am getting bites in the $400 range now (per pair), something that I was laughed for this month. I just don't see the fervor for this one on the ticket market. Perhaps it's due to under performance by the Bucks in the last handful of big time non-conference games......a bad economy...or both? All that I know is that it plays into the hands of those who need seats. :)

As mentioned before, previous market value in the big games(with title implications) I've gone to end up dropping somewhere round thurs to fri from what daddy said to maybe 150-200 a general admin ticket to 100-125 high end student ticket. I bought a ticket to PSU last year student ticket for about 100 day of game(craigslist) and was in the front 4 rows of c deck like section 9 or 11. I really like c deck though, I like cheap too. Daddy's mention of ballsy I assume is talking bout scalping up until game time where you can get seats for the same as the student but you might miss the first half of the first quarter. I try to meet somewhere in the middle and get them either earlier in the day from a student, or I pound craigslist the two days prior to the game. EBay is for rich people.

P.S. read the top thread in the ticket forum :wink2:

I don't understand where all of you "so called" Buckeye Fans have gone from buying tickets to see the greatest college football team/tradition in the land to selling your tickets to try to make a small fortune. All you do is ruin it for everyone else who may not have other plans on the day of a game (my loss is your gain B.S.) and would like to see THE Ohio State buckeyes play but can't because you guys all wanna sell Navy tickets for $300 a set or USC tickets anywhere from $300-$1500 a set. You doing this makes the ticket brokers tickets increase in price as well... It's a sad day when you can't go to a game w/out spending $300-$1500 at the vey least to see your favorite team play because of money hungry people! You are not true Ohio State fans!

I'm pretty sure I never sold a tOSU ticket for more than $100 over face value, but I have bought some tOSU tickets for such amounts.

However, I don't believe it's appropriate to try to shame the sellers of those tickets. It's the basic economic principle of supply and demand at work.

Many students and alumni are willing to sell their tickets at a significant profit to relinquish their abililty to see games in the 'Shoe. For many of them, the money is important to them during difficult economic times.

Obviously, there are also many people who would love to attend tOSU games and can't afford it. But in my opinion, 'questioning the fanhood' of those selling their tickets for a significant profit is poor form.

Brokers are somewhat different, but even so, nobody is forcing anybody to buy tickets from them.

But as far as the USC game goes, regardless of how much anybody paid for their ticket, they need to be loud as hell during the game.

Thank you...I'm in a very tight squeeze right now. Just found out my parents are cutting me off, and I get to pay for the rest of undergrad and grad + living costs, etc. If I had my choice, I'd go to the games I've bought, but I can't afford to not sell my tickets (and they aren't for an outrageous price). Good to see someone else understands and acknowledges what some people (for some, even worse off than me) are going through.
