there's no RB rotation quota for this game, like OU.

Exactly! The RB rotation last week was just so weird it had to be with USC in mind. I don't think it was coincidence that the first series they decided to concentrate on running the ball that Herron was featured. Then Tressel doesn't play him the next series and instead uses Saine? Tressel hopefully saw what he wanted to see in Boom and wanted to 'hide' him for USC as he is the guy we need to toke the rock when we need the hard yards on 3rd and 1 and the goaline.

At least that is my hope. If the carries are as hodgepodge as last week I really have to question what Tressel is doing. And like I said... I hope that doesn't happen.

I concur with the "Boom" Herron crowd

I am pulling for "Boom" Herron to break out. He will clearly be at a position of need against USC. He will certainly get the carriers. He brings a physical style of running OSU needs to establish the rest of the offense gameplan. He is also at the perfect time in his OSU career to step out of the pack behind Beanie.

I went with Boom as well, Danny, does not have Zoom's break away speed but for a young back he showed "vision" beyond his limited playing experience. In other words, when his hole was closed, instead of running into the pile for no gain, he would look for running room elsewhere. IMHO, MoC was born with it, Beanie picked it up last year.

Go Bucks, Go Danny, we will need you tonight:oh:

I'm going with the OSU line play, on both sides of the ball. I think OSU's lines are being underrated this year based on the Ohio game and the two NC games, while USC's lines are maybe a little overrated versus what they've had in the past. USC wasn't challenged by Virginia, so I think this is still a bit of an unknown, and that their reputation precedes them coming into the game tonight.

So, I'll be interested to see whether they feel the sting of not having Sedrick Ellis and Sam Baker this season now that they'll finally be picking on someone their own size.

OSU was embarrassed by guys like Derrick Harvey and Ricky Jean-Francois. USC certainly has guys that will be like that, but I think it's advantage-OSU to play this game in September '08 and not in the Rose Bowl in January '09.

Well ... so much for that!

Enough of the "business trips!" Where is the fire?
