Functioning arms are usually a prerequisite. And as far as his qualities as a NFL starting QB.
In case no one else has noticed, the NFL QB position as a whole is lacking quality starters.

They're talking about him, not his cause. He wanted to get people talking.
He did.
It's his Right of Free Speech.
We all love Constitutional rights, don't we?

It's still the reality. You can't claim "He wanted to get people talking. He did." when what they're talking about isn't the issue. That's not his fault. He clearly said what his cause was, but people are ignoring his words.
wasn't he adopted and raised by a white couple?

Ehh, there's been plenty of good debate about it. Only people trying to deflect from his actual message are talking about him.
most of the conversation I've seen has been around how his approach is taking away from the discussion while supporting his right to free speech
equal amounts of deflection coming from those who don't like the fact not everyone fully agrees with his position (as nearly as it can be discerned)
One could argue being forced of the league and losing sponsorships was going to happen because he isn't good enough at football......this just sped up the process. Most of the conversation I've seen has been around him being anti-American, a radical muslim, spoiled, and that he needs to find a new country. There's been some good conversations about it, but mostly people trying to silence him because of his views.
People are saying he's seeking attention, what attention is that? Risking being forced out of the league and losing sponsor? As if having people send you death threats and telling you to leave America is something people seek out.

Worse QBs who came in before or with him are still in the league, having accomplished a lot less. Kaep would have a job somewhere.
But not at a salary of $19M per season. In the NFL it has not been all that uncommon to see much better players than Kaepernick who were making a lot less money being cut solely for salary cap reasons.

i'm not sure if anyone in the government has told him that he should find a new country, but i can cite someone who has said that while running for the highest position in government.Show us where anyone in the government said that Kaepernick should leave the country.
