I don't see him as a featured back in either tOSU or TSUN offensive schemes. Unless your running designed plays that will utilize his cutting and speed then I think you'll end up with a Mo Wells type of effect.
However, I would bring him in as an athlete and experiment with him his first year. See what he can do at the WR spot, CB spot and especially KR,PR. He even get a few reps at RB to see if he can cut it but I would be up front that in recruiting that your an athlete and make no promises about RB.
I agree Lord V. I'd like to see us offer him to play Ginn's old position (the Ginn Back, anyone?), if he thinks he can handle it. He's got the speed and pure athletic ability to play it, and I'd challenge him to see if he could play that kind of a position/role for the Bucks. My guess is that Small will be playing the role this year, due to him coming out this spring and Saine likely playing RB due to Pitty leaving.
That said though, McGuffie could be the heir apparent for Small, could sub in for him on occasion, or could steal the position outright from him (which would be quite a feat for a frosh). I'd sure like to see him try! I'd have NO problem with us offering him. The vids are impresive.
McGuffie could be used much like Maurice Wells should be used this year, and I will be anxious to see how that happens. Not as a pure Wr, but as a RB who can split out wide and make a move in the open field.
