I get the feeling Vonn Bell and fam r telling the #Vols and #Buckeyes he is going to each. Unless he can clone himself, someone gonna be mad


From what I've heard about Bell's family, I have a hard time believing he's straight lying to one school

I could see how a recruit who is weary of getting phone calls might be motivated to say just about anything to get them to stop. Not sure such behavior would make me think much less of a kid.

no, the problem is mike farrell simply doesn't know anything, and he can't handle it.

What I keep going back to is Vonn's comments on numerous occasions that being comfortable with the coaching staff is @ the top of his priority list when making his decision. He has mentioned many times that his relationship with Meyer and the rest of the OSU staff is the best of any of the schools he is considering.

If it is truly down to OSu and the Vols, I don't see how the Vols coaching staff could have made as big an impression on Vonn in the short time their staff has been together and as long as Meyer's been in his ear.

I like the way this one is trending, if Bama is indeed out of the equation. I guess we will see tomorrow.

This needs to be translated...

"My sources at both schools are telling me they feel good about getting Vonn Bell." That, or possibly "I don't have any info from a reliable source, so I am going to cover my rear end."

The simple fact of the matter is Mike has no idea what Vonn is telling the schools because his information is third hand at best, and probably more like 5th or 6th hand. Since the worst thing a recruiting service can do is say "I don't know," he has to come up with something.

I will say this..don't undersell Butch Jones. Having talked ro many high school coaches in this area and they will tell you that kids and families love him...factor in UT was the 'hometown' favorite growing up and I can see how UT could have made up ground quickly.

If we miss out on Bell to UT it should be pretty easy to move on because there was nothing that could have been done to land him. When you have played your best hand, the pot odds are in your favor and someone still sucks out to beat you.....Well, it happens and it doesn't mean you played your hand wrong. This staff put in HUGE work to land him and it's no stretch to think nothing more could have been done. Look at it this way, if he goes to UT that means that Satan and Urban both struck out. I'd say that would qualify him as un-signable.

I personally believe Bell will sign with Tenn. tomorrow. Sometimes heart wins out and I truly believe its his childhood dream to play for Tennessee.. I hope that I am wrong but my gut feeling says he will choose to stay home turning down Saban and Urb to play for Tenn. Hope I am wrong though.....

Really want him to sign with Buckeyes but you can't help but respect the man if he follows his heart. Turning down Meyer and Saban can't be easy.

I read on volnation (so obviously take it with a grain of salt) that one of their posters actually knows their family and that Vonn is going to UT. The brother is supposedly(bolded for emphasis) leaking false information to Farrell and others to build up drama for the announcement. I personally don't see him coming, but would be beyond happy to have him here.
