Free Rivals - National Signing Day: Top story lines

Can Tennessee close on Bell?

Tennessee has a done a nice job of entering the conversation for several big names over the last few weeks, but after missing out on Carl Lawson will the Vols be able to close on fellow five-star Vonn Bell? After Alabama looked like the school to beat, it's down to Tennessee and Ohio State, with Bell keeping his decision under wraps until signing day. If he were to stay close to home and choose Tennessee, it would be a great selling point to the class of 2014 and an excellent way for the new staff to close out its first cycle. If the Buckeyes land Bell, it could be a preview of things to come with Urban Meyer & Co. making the Southeast a priority for the 2014 class.

Vonn is a stud. but that maroon team on the first (and a few other) highlights looks like one of the worst football teams of all time lol

Yeah, watch #7 (on defense, obviously) in the very first play. He has two separate chances where he has a clean shot at Vonn, and just doesn't take it, then does a half-arsed jog alongside the action, and manages to end up just steps away from him at the goal line. If the dude had put an ounce of effort into it, he'd have made the stop.

Why would you pick Tenn over OSU? I don't care if its your childhood favorite. He will get immediate PT and OSU is gonna challenge for NC's/Conference championships...Tenn will need rebuilt. Jones versus Meyer is like comparing a Porsche to a Fiat.

Is this really a serious question? Not everyone has the same decision criteria.

I certainly hope Vonn comes to OSU but I wish him luck where he feels he is most comfortable and will most suit his needs.

If this statement is true:
it's down to Tennessee and Ohio State,
then I would like to think he is all Buckeye considering we have been the one constant in his recruiting. I know Tenn has been involved early as well but with the new staff etc I just feel Ohio State is the one common trait in almost all his updates.

Hope I am right, the young man has a ton of potential to be a great one.
