S Ronald Tanner (Official Thread)

Tanner is 17th 2011 commitment
By TIM MAY

Safety Ron Tanner this morning became the 17th commitment to Ohio State?s 2011 recruiting class, but he brought some drama to his announcement.

Sitting at a table with his family in the library of his Eastmoor Academy in Columbus, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Tanner first pulled a Michigan cap onto his head, bringing groans, boos and catcall from the crowd. Then he had a friend walk up with an Ohio State cap and the crowd erupted, many breaking into an impromptu ?O-H? ?I-O? session as Tanner pulled it on and smiled broadly.

In the end, Michigan wasn?t even in his top five, as he chose OSU over Northwestern, Michigan State, Stanford and Arizona State.

?I am at home, literally and hypothetically speaking,? Tanner said of his main reason for picking OSU. ?Being on campus it seems like it?s the right place for me. After visiting Ohio State and visiting other schools, at the end of the day I am comparing things I like and don?t like, and Ohio State outweighed all the other schools.?

I wonder how a certain dam building rodent feels about that remark....

Welcome aboard Mr. Tanner!!!

By next week, that rodent will have pictures of Tanner wearing that TSUN hat as proof that TSUN "almost" signed him...justifying the 49.9%, of course.

I mean, why would you think that the rodent would let truth get in the way of his unfounded opinions for once? :roll2:

Great get, and welcome Mr. Tanner! :osu:

I'm at work so I have no time to do this. But can someone change the Tango and Cash movie poster to these 2 future buckeyes?

And welcome to the family!!!
