Well that's good to know. I am not all that worried about his speed, becuase Butch Reynolds is on our staff, and maybe with the weight he is gaining his legs just havn't caught up with him yet. His time is definitely not going to change me wanting him on campus any less!!

he kinda flinched but I wouldn't call it a slip. One coach asked him if he was alright. He said he was fine. He was just slow.

Not making excuses but I do know that the slightest slip can cost you. I had a bit of a flinch back in 7th grade and I ran a 5.2 at OSU camp. Then they had me timed on first movement and I ran a 4.8.

i think his first time was like a 4.88 and his second was a 4.81 FWIW. He's plenty football fast, he'll be good enough, just not what we're used to.

Didn't realize that. The turf I guess was slow but that is a bit of a shock that he ran two times that slow. Perhaps he didn't need to go to the combine and I wonder if he was a bit out of shape?

Isnt he running track??? I had the same first though, that he could be out of shape, but if he's running track then that doesnt make sense...

the kid from Iowa (the MVP) ran right before Oliver, so maybe he burned up the track or something I don't know :)

I think sometimes to much stock is put into the 40 time....their has been great players at tOSU who played fast enough on the field but didn't impress in the 40 yard dash......football speed is what counts. How fast do they run between the lines on Saturday...
