Paint the endzones!
I really really like his highlight tape. He triggers very fast and isn’t shy about contact. I’d like to see him stick to the WR’s hip a little better in downfield coverage, but he looks really good.

Film looks solid. I think his tackle skills are very similar to Powers. But what sets them apart is McClains coverage skills. In todays CFB your S better have some type of coverage skills, or at least a base to work from. IMo McClain is like a Kroger brand Lathan Ransom. And that’s not a knock, just a little joke that McClain reminds me of Ransom but just not to the level as high as Ransom.

His play recognition is excellent which will only make him that much better as he continues to get college ready physical attributes. Give me the cerebral player anyday especially in a complicated Defense.
