Welcome to the Buckeye Family (finally), Caleb!!!

I'm still in shock about this 12 hours later. Caleb is a perfect fit for Coach Knowles' safety-driven system. Totally makes up for missing on Bolden & Perich in this year's recruiting class. Caleb is going to take this defense to the next level, and allows us to play to Sonny's strengths as well. Knowles is playing chess with our D

I'll preface by saying I am 35, but after adding Downs this should be the best defense I have ever witnessed and that really isn't looking into the crystal ball much since we have almost the entire defense back + Downs. There is no weakness on the defense and Downs coming in unleashes Styles even more.

I am still pinching myself on this one tbh...excellent job by the staff on getting Downs, hell of a battle to win over south. A Sherman's March if you will, with the sea being some SEC ass whipping in the playoffs. So excited to see Downs play here.

I think the best attribute of this kid is his instincts and football I.Q. He really understands the game of football and what teams are trying to do to the defense, having him on the back end as the adjuster is like having another coach on the field.

When I initially saw his highlights I thought he was a mix between Ed Reed, Eric Berry and Honey Badger, he is that good and will only get better.

The only thing I see lacking on defense is an elite pass rusher with a non-stop motor. Hopefully JTT or Sawyer turn into that next season.

Sawyer was starting to turn the corner there last season, one more year of progression and he could be it. JTT is elite there in spurts, just needs more consistency. Don't sleep on incoming frosh Eddrick Houston either, that dude is going to wreak havoc, just don't know if it will be in his first year here.
