S Caleb Downs (All B1G, All-American)

Don’t you want coaches who can actually teach you fundamentals and techniques? That was not on display today or frankly much of this season.
Come on man. OSU's offense crapped the bed today. The D can only do so much. Knowles can't do anything when the O just kept giving up the ball so quickly. After a while that will come back to bite you. It did.

He needs a little bit to get things moving, but for the O, there was no excuse for that today.

Not sure what you think you saw in the defensive secondary coaching this season that would entice a guy like Downs to come here. It’s been bad all year. It was by far the worst unit of any on the team and got horrendously exposed in the GAME.

I guess there is a chance he could be thinking: "Hey, I'm a lot better than those guys. I can easily earn a starting spot as a Freshman. Instant playing time."

Besides Knowles, Walton, and Eliano all have outstanding resumes and are proven to be excellent coaches.

Responded to similar comment about early playing time already, but I’m talking coaching. Early on in his recruitment a lot was made about him waiting to see Knowles defense in action. So, hence the comments. I’m not expecting an answer. I’m also not expecting Downs in this class.
