That is undoubtedly true. Then again, when you're sitting at #1, you don't need help in terms of position. USF was causing a perception problem for Ohio State though - or rather, voters and media types were using USF as a vehicle to propagate a perception against the Buckeyes. I didn't like it, I felt it was unfounded, and I'm glad it's been put to bed within a week of its beginning.

As much of a cop as it sounds I hoped that we would play this guys for the title

Yep, me too, just to shut the talking asshats up...we would've fucked USF up.

After seeing this guys tonight our defense would've completely dominated them. This wasn't a top ten football team. I can give credit were it's due with "non power" schools but this team didn't look half as good as Louisville last year. Their undisciplined play really remind of some of the JLS Sparty teams.

Unlike others I don't think USF sucks since they lost in Piscataway... on the contrary I think they are still a good football team that may still win the Big East. Were they overrated? Most likely but they, just like our Buckeyes, were a benefactor of circumstances that they put themselves in. I think the media made USF appear better than they were with their wins over an Auburn team that is just like them (very good defense, inept offense) and a West Virginia team that tears like a wet napkin when they play an opponent with a pulse.

The eerie thing about this game is the potential for the OSU-MSU game to be similar. The Buckeyes haven't played a team with a good running attack yet and it will be interesting to see how they respond to Sparty.

The part about the Auburn win that many in the media seem to forget is this, Auburn then isn't the same as Auburn now.
Exactly... the media really loves to use the transitive theory in matchups..

"Well, USF beat Auburn who beat the defending national champion Gators, so USF must be awesome this year! Fastest defense in college footbaw!!!111!1!"

With the Northeast Media force feeding us the media created "Matt Ryan Heisman Candidacy" horseshit, you are very correct.

I've had just about enough of your tone mister. I'll have you know that he is within 1/5th of a point of being with 25 points of Todd Boeckman in passing efficiency. If that doesn't scream "I'm #37 in the nation at my position and I deserve the Heisman Trophy", then maybe you can tell me what does, hmmm?

BC isnt bad. They stand a chance to win out the ACC. The game in Blacksburg next week will make or break them.

They aren't bad.

But they are ranked 47th in the nation in DSC. (VPI is 27th)

And Matt Ryan has managed 1 more TD pass than Todd Boeckman in only 145 more attempts, so he's got that goin' for him.

Should I be fearing a visit from two goons from Bristol, CT with a bucket and bag of cement for speaking agianst "The Man"?

Way to reaffirm what a tool you are Mark May. Pitt sucks and you suck. Actually I heard Trev giving props to the Buckeyes a few days ago.

I'm not sure how USF losing hurts the Buckeyes. Win out and they're in. If USF or BC would have won out, all the talking dickheads would be whining that OSU had an easy opponent in the Championship game.

One at a time. Next to lose: Michigan State.
