I wasn't implying that UCLA is the best team in the Pac10... just pointing out they are currently tied for the conference lead (though all their wins are from the conference bottom feeders).

Yeah I know, I was implying about the Pac 10 being so unbalancd right now, As is our Big 10. It's ironic UCLA is part of the leaders in the PAC-10, remember what happend in that Utah game earlier this year?

Auburn exposed their weak rush D earlier, everyone just forgot about it.

Good point, I forgot about that. Aurbun in my opinion is a better team than Rutgers, amazing how USF still lost, especially with all the momentum. I've come to the conslusion, the more hype a team gets, the bigger target they have on their back.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights, NCAA Football, South Florida Bulls - CBSSports.com

"Scarlet Knights expose truth about overrated Bulls"

The media reaction to the media's glorification of USF is going to be good...can't wait to read all of the back tracking

It's great to remember every little thing the media says, including analysts from ESPN, ABC, CBS, because frankly they're not always right! They're basically guessing every pick, kind of like a meteorologist does with the weather. But the funny thing is when they end up being wrong after a pick, the sports analysts will hope noone remembers their previous statement and goes on from there. Kind of like how Mark May did with USC. lol

Freeman's a phony too. If he thought USF was an imposter, why wasn't he talking about it 24 hours ago? What he's saying is right, but he has no room to be pointing any fingers.

I know the AP Poll doesn't completely bear this out, but the only analysts I read or heard that weren't calling for USF to be #1 were Corso, Herbstreit and Robert Smith (and maybe Lou Holtzh). And even then, nobody was talking about all of the glaring flaws that team has exhibited in the detail that they were discussed on this board.

Yeah exactly, and you know, I've had to defend my Buckeyes all year for that too. People ask how are we are # 1. I tell them, WE DON'T LOSE TO PEOPLE WE SHOULD BEAT!!! Not only that, it's not our fault the Big Ten is having an off year. Put us up against anyone right now and we'll win!

We need to give USF credit for keeping it close in a hostile 40,000 seat stadium. That place was probably so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. If USF wouldn't have lost here they certainly would have lost @ Pitt the last game of the season. Cold Pittsburgh weather and 15,000 people in an NFL stadium is a recipe for trouble.
