And to top all of this off, if my user name on here was "OSU ROCKS", none of you would have thought twice about what I wrote. And if you disagree, you are lying to yourself.
Right, because no one ever argues on this site :slappy: This might be your worst post yet in this thread.

How about you give up this tired victim routine?

What is it that you want? To be able to take away credit from OSU for what happened that night, but not have anyone argue with you about it?

No, that's fine if you want to argue about a college playoff, or the structure I proposed for that playoff. After all, that's what this thread is about. I don't want to run off on a tangent because someone has got a problem with me saying Texas looked rusty in that game. I think if you ask every college football fan in American if they looked rusty, 98% would agree that they did.

I'm not trying to take away anything from OSU. Again, my comment was about TEXAS. If anything, I was taking away from them.

Sorry to disappoint, but no. That's all you guys do on here is bash UM, and anytime some fan, not from osu, even mentions osu, you guys jump 'em. Case in point, this very situation.
Immediately after your "oh so innocent" contribution to this thread, you called someone out for making a small joke about Michigan.

Not once have you denied that it was a swipe at OSU. Guess what? You're allowed to think it was Texas being rusty. We're also allowed to call you on it, particularly on BuckeyePlanet.

They didn't look very rusty in the 2nd half.

I don't really care what you're "trying" to do. Defenses stop offenses. When you chalk it up to Texas being rusty, it trivializes the OSU defense. No two ways about it.

You meant what you typed. Apparently you just weren't interested in standing behind that statement.

And that's why I told the guy if he wanted to think that Texas being rusty was because OSU was playing great, then that was his choice.

You want me to say it wasn't a swipe against OSU? Fine, it was NOT a swipe against OSU.

The only thing I remember from that game, through all the beer, was how bad Texas' offense looked. That's it. I have no idea how the OSU defense played.

Okay, okay. You win. Texas' offense played great that night, but OSU's defense was better.

 Then why are we even having this argument?

This is the worst part of all... we don't ask outsiders to agree with us. But we do expect them to back up their statements and realize people are going to argue with them about OSU and be harsh to UM at times. You seem to take offense to us doing both of those things.

If you think Texas was rusty, fine. Say that, and back it up. 90% of this rabbit trail is because you got upset that we disagreed with you.

Find me a post where methomps sucks up to us on this site. The guy is smart, stubborn and civil, but doesn't yield an inch.

I disagree, I don't think I'm lying to myself, and I think you're full of crap for saying so. If someone posts BS on this board, they'll get called on it, regardless of their user name.

On the other hand, you do need to realize that this a tOSU message board, and think twice before calling us out when your posts get criticized.

That might not be fair, but that's the way it is. If you want to stick around, deal with it.

Wasn't that layoff less than any Big 10 team's layoff?

So this factor only applies to one team in the equation?

Ok. Gotcha.

Trolling. Strike one.

Yeah, I was going to make that point. Apparently Texas gets rusty, but OSU doesn't. Same effing layoff.

Not only was it poor analysis, it was a swipe at Ohio State.

Well, at least now you admit you have no clue what you are talking about.

Not only was he saying that the game was close because Texas stunk it up that night, but he was also comparing tOSU to East Carolina. The only thing tOSU has in common with East Carolina is that the both would beat TSUN.

Then there's the matter of how rusty Todd Boeckman was, not only since his last full game but having to rotate out of the game.

Blueinfla, if you say the only reason Texas' offense struggled was because they were rusty, you didn't watch the game very closely or simply had your maize & pee sunglasses strapped securely on your noggin. Our defense was all over the field that night and got consistent pressure on McCoy limiting his time to make decisions. Our DL improved consistently through the season, culminating in that game. You're entitled to a homer view, but cannot expect it to fly on a tOSU message board.

Also, Texas would have gorilla fisted East Carolina. It would have been epic.
