That is freakin' MIND BLOWING. Playing a slate of offenses that much tougher than what anyone else is even approaching and still being very close to the top...

Though it's only 4:18PM, I can safely say the Bucks have a stranglehold on the #1 rush defense position after today.

Ohio State Rush D vs. Indiana: 39
Nebraska Rush D vs. Missouri: 329

... and 21 of the rushing yards we gave up were on Indiana's last possession.

If we had made another first down on our last possession, and notched one more sack, we may well have held Indiana under 100 yards today.

Quite a performance by the 1st team D, to say the least.

Great performance.

Add in that normally a good rush D will have made the opponent 1-dimensional, thereby giving up 3 figures in passing - whereas the Buckeyes strangled them through the air. (Thank-you Brandon Mitchell!!) 70 net yards passing given up, 43 rushing net!!

Shoot I know this is IU we are talking of but the D versus average stats are frankly mind boggling.

Average Rushing before today IU - 157
today 43 (delta - 114)
Average passing before today IU - 253
today 70 (delta - 183!!)

Astounding.

I knew this game should not even be lose, it was not. It was even further from even than I expected. But for some damned odd calls and penalties we would be looking at 60+ points in the Buckeyes column, 3, total for the Hoosiers.
