Is the No.1 overall player worth it? Would OSU do something like this? I dont know but a talent like Robert I think is worth it. 1 superstar can make up for 2 average players

Caving in sends the wrong message and sets a bad precedence. Tressel didn't do it and I doubt meyer would.

Apparently hes holding Dabo and Clemson hostage. Hes forcing them to offer his friend a scholarship and than he'll be 100% committed.

Didn't Pryor do something like this with a distant cousin or something? The Vest said no!

If a top recruit isn't going to Ohio State, I'd rather them go to a school that will never play Ohio State. So you go Clemson. Maybe you can go 10-2 now.

Just sayin': You never know who Ohio State might play in a bowl game; I still remember the 1978 Gator Bowl.

That's what Nkemdiche is trying to do. On what package deal did Tressel ever sign off?

I never said he signed off on any package deal. I was moreso referring to Tress making concessions to certain players. My whole post was really about the word "caving" that was used.

Back on topic though, I didn't see any "demands" being made. He said he wants to play with his friends. Many might not agree, but I don't think it was a "demand."

Clemson has already taken 2 other guys from his high school team, he wants a third teammate added as well.

To what concession are you referring? If you're implying that Tressel offered a teammate of a commit to keep the commit, ala what's happening with Nkemdiche, then no, that never happened.

I never implied or said Tressel offered package deals. I said he made concessions or "caved" to certain players over the years. But, we've gone too far off topic and I'd rather not continue in this thread.

And I'm not defending Robert, but he never said his friend had to be offered for Clemson to keep his commitment.

My last post on this. When Ndemdiche says he's a done deal if his friend is offered, then he's making it clear that he's not 100% committed if his friend isn't offered...don't know how it can be much clearer.

And Tressel never gave in to prospects or recruits as far as that prospect or commit requiring that his friend be also offered in order to lock down his commitment, which is what BuckJr was asking.
