My biggest question with the new movie is who the bad guy is going to be? It sounds like Batman and Superman will be adversaries at some point, but they have to end up on the same team. I'm not a comic book guy so I'm sure this has been addressed on paper.

The biggest problem with Superman is it's hard to find someone that is a threat to him. Besides the gayness, that was my biggest problem with Superman Returns. A human shouldn't be able to get within 100 feet of Superman to stab him in the back with Kryptonite. I haven't had a chance to see Man of Steel yet, but I'm pretty sure they fixed it for that movie.

As we saw with the Avengers once you go bigger than one superhero you pretty much have to go with an alien as your villain. That's multiplied even more with Superman since he is the most powerful of all the superheros.

I'm much less worried about Affleck than the plot. He isn't the best choice, but he has grown a lot since Daredevil. As far a Clooney is concerned I don't think he was a bad actor to play Batman, but everything else about that movie was bad. I'm much less worried about a Snyder/Nolan project turning out shitty regardless of the actors. I still would have liked to see Bale or Gordon-Levitt as Batman to continue on from Nolan's Batman. I don't know how you reinvent Batman in a movie with Superman.

My thoughts are kind of that this sounds like a stupid premise for a movie anyway, so, I don't care all that much.

Reminds me of the reaction when Heath Ledger was announced as the Joker. I remember people thinking he was a terrible choice.

I think Affleck is a good actor. He's done good stuff since his little spree of shit about 10(ish?) years ago. That being said, I'm not sold on it, but I'm willing to see how it turns out. Would be awesome if they'd make a different fucking movie though. Let's get some original ideas for once, Hollywood.

Nobody doubted Heath's acting ability - only his fit for the role.

Not only do I doubt Affleck being a remotely serious character, he's also not a good fit.
