Curiosity got the better of me and I checked out that scUM board. I have to say a decent percentage of their own fans are essentially saying "oh shit if true". Given it is a Scout board I was kind of shocked that many were semi sensible. I just expect the blind homer maniacs and discount them.

I just hope ESPN and company pursue this with the same zeal they pursued the MoC and Troy Smith stuff.

I posted this in the Mill, but does anyone else think the emergency team meeting had anything to do with this? Maybe a mass signing of forms to ensure digging reporters couldn't do any real damage?

What will be even funnier is if all these signed forms end up getting shredded before the NCAA gets to AA.

Yea, there are a few of them that are pretty sick of all the negative publicity RR has brought there.

ESPN/Schad had an update on his article:
"This player said he would tell the Big Ten or NCAA what players were required to do and believes most of his former teammates would, as well."

The NCAA has to do something...once this is out in the public (from now on) if any Michigan players get seriously injured or die from training they are gonna get a lawsuit costing Michigan and the NCAA millions. Law firms around the country will want some of those millions.

Making players falsely sign papers that are intended on keepiong them safe is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. If that is true Michigan is fucked.

That makes the NCAA look stupid. The have 6 current players that gave the good as well. The two freshmen confirm this. Michigan will get more than a slap on the wrist...this is much worse than FIU.

All of this did bring back memories of RichRods departure at WVU. A lot of shredding of documents back then. What did he claim that was about? Was it files that were about strength and conditioning?

It looks like the time frame for RichRod to get his system working has been reduced to one year while this drags on. Another losing season with this hanging over the program is not good.

most scUM fans are blaming everyone but Rodriguez, check out mlive, its pure comedy

they are blasting the dude who wrote the freep article and calling it "tabloid journalism" and a "witch hunt" when what like 10 players confirm what was written?

This is really sad. Michigan had the bowl streak,winning season streak, etc that went down the drain last year. Michigan football has been clean this whole time and all that will probably come to an end (Most if not all the other major programs have been through scandals). It seems like the players are divided on the coaches and there is alot of turmoil in the locker room that the public doesn't know about.

Rich's quote is cut-and-dried - I'd like to see him say the same thing to NCAA investigators, then have that statement directly contradicted by several current and former players talking to the NCAA, and then see what the NCAA does. Remember, Mo Clarett's biggest problem regarding eligibility was his not telling the truth to the NCAA.

Van Horn's statement is a carefully crafted non-denial denial, talking about in-season rules, educating athletes and performing spot checks. It then uses the past tense to say that there's been no reason to self-report any violations.
