This is a can of worms for RR and staff. If they deny everything and the NCAA finds they lied they will be in lack of institutional control territory.

Many wanted Carr "retired" (a gentle firing) because his team allegedly became a country club, lax offseason standards, captains and key players skipping most/all of summer workouts, etc. That's why Barwis received the outrageous hype he enjoyed, he was closing the country club and bringing the complete opposite. The physical transformation was obvious visually and for anyone who watched practice, particularly this year.I agree that this may be difficult to prove, but proving it is not the only issue.
At least one player in the article was quoted as saying that LLoyd followed the rules. Much as I don't care for UM I have always felt that by and large as an institution they had respect for the rules.
They already have two frosh on the team who were apparently unaware of the rules that blurted it out. The freep is a questionable journalistic body IMO (they do seem to have it in for um), but they have named sources and now major media is running with it. That'll get the NCAA's dander up.Oh8ch;1525290; said:I agree that this may be difficult to prove, but proving it is not the only issue.

So the question again becomes, will UM change RR or will RR change UM. Will the administration try to sweep this under the rug or try to fix the problem.
Hopefully they are wise enough to see that eventually somebody will want to know what that big lump is under the rug. The only wise solution is to address the problem now.
If RR was willing to bend the rules prior to last season what is he willing to do after going 3-9?
And as for proof - with all the transfers testimony may be readily available.
