Still an ass.

I like how this guy thinks. [strike]Four[/strike] six more years!!! (coaches are senators right?).But thats it, their issue has been giving a coach 3 years and dumping him.
Guys, until the 90's or so, a coach would get hired and get almost a decade to BUILD a program. Coaches dont get that anymore and it makes it a gambling game of hiring the right guy right away or you lose another 3 years and try again.
Firing RR, and then whiffing again (Harbaugh or bust, IMHO) would turn us into ND.
Right now, we have a chance to keep building as our coach, IN HIS 3rd YEAR, finds a defense.
Everyone needs to relax.

It really is uncanny...bad defense, stubborn, cannot adapt, choking vs. rivals, impending sanctions, will pound his qb into the dirt, will switch offensive players to defense, can't recruit defense, will recruit questionable kids...it was all predicted within a month of his hire. Bravo BP, bravo.Jaxbuck;1789916; said:Just for fun go back and read this thread (not all of it of course) from the beginning. RR is still coaching at WVU then.
By page 3 there are numerous posters who immediately question the hire, the 3-3-5 defense, his big game choking, his crying on the sidelines etc.
The BP community had this one nailed from jump street and since the interwebs never forget, we have some serious "told you so" ammo for scUM posters.

I'd like to nominate Bill Martin for a tree in Buckeye Grove!Jaxbuck;1789928; said:The fact that a couple dozen fans on a football forum knew that RR was a terrible fit and for what specific reasons using no more in depth resources than just watching football only adds to the magnificence of Bill Martin.
I mean when its your full time job to find the next coach and you have nearly unlimited resources at your disposal in which to do that and you do worse than a bunch of fuckups could have done for free from their barcoloungers you have really done something.
Maybe its just me but I admire true excellence in fucking up. I mean we all do it but only the immortals can make you sit there and admire the magnitude of the whole thing for years afterward.
