Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

He is emotional because all he has heard for the last year is that the programs family values have eroded, he does not care about his players well-being, and now he is cheating. Rich and this staff took this as a personal attack, I don't know if he will ever get over it. That is why I have maintained Rich is in a no win situation here and I have trouble seeing him coaching here next year.

comical.

RR cares about winning, period. that's why sociopaths like pacman jones and chris henry had "spotless" records while at WVU only to subsequently derail after leaving the program, and why kids like pat lazear are welcomed with open arms. that's why kids that can't graduate high school are welcomed into the Harvard of the Midwest.

players are leaving that program like rats from a sinking ship, and very few have favorable comments about the staff. add to that a 3 win season. if RR isn't coaching TTUN next year, it's because he eroded every bit of integrity from that program to win ballgames, and he failed to win.

because...?

I couldn't find a stinkin ATM within walking distance outside that stadium one year. Damn them.

Can't tell if it's a good thing if the leader of a major college program is on the brink of fake tears. The only time I recall coaches crying in the past is when they're fired.

Maybe a late-night shredding session will cheer Rodriguez up?

If Rich is truly that "fragile"(my term) then he was a very poor choice for a coach by UM's administration. I would think that UM as a whole, if this whole RR thing doesn't work out, should really examine who is doing the hiring of their next coach......................or not, I hope the failure continues, but from a UM standpoint, they really need to examine where they are going.

Didn't he just admit to a violation by saying the strength coach is in there with them?

Nice catch! That crossed my mind, too. Maybe that was an attempt to create an excuse for what they've done. Coach wasn't in there making the team practice--he was just protecting their feet.

No, a strength coach and trainers are allowed to be there, but they are not allowed to report back to the coaching staff. The quality control coaches are the ones that were alleged to be there and are not allowed.

Emotional as in "Holy shit, we just scored 9 points, lost to Pitt, and choked away a National Championship appearance?" emotional?

Post 4278 has almost the entire transcript of what he said on camera. Between that and the imevitable youtube, you can decide for yourself.
