Jimmy Crum: Senile ol' coot or not, he's a Columbus sports icon that doesnt' deserve the comparison...

Of course, Jimmy doesn't, but his suits certainly do!

EDIT: I've made the clarification on the tag (I was the one who added it, as well as the HT's)

From the USF coach:

The Bulletin: USF Sports | Tampabay.com - St. Petersburg Times: Archives

Here's what Leavitt had to say when he was asked about new West Virginia coach Bill Stewart:

"He's got a great reputation, because he is who he is. He's a down-to-earth, good person, loves the game. ... The people who wonder on how he'll be (compared) with Rich are nuts. This guy's probably better than Rodriguez. I'm worried about him. We beat Rodriguez. We haven't gotten this guy. This guy worries me. I wish Rich would have stayed. But he didn't, so we'll have to go play Michigan now."

Not only has that already been posted, but by the Bull's coach himself. Interesting that it was posted from the same IP addressed as the one used by Conan O'Brien...

You guys fail to mention one thing about me, I have more money than you, and I don't have to pay my bills because the school I work for will pay them for me. How can I go wrong? I have these guys 'Worried about their image' and yet, I just get richer. Hell, I don't even drink wine anymore, I just have these tears of my alma mater that have been fermenting since I left and it's tasty.

RR is now officially the savior...

He has chosen his Apostles.

CHICAGO - Tim Jamison reads at least one Bible verse when he wakes each day.

Morgan Trent says gospel music dominates his iPod, and Mike Massey was reared Catholic.

Now, these three Wolverines are among 20 "apostles" on the University of Michigan's football team. But this is no faith-based initiative.

The Wolverines' apostles are a group of players - seniors through freshmen - selected by their teammates as leaders. They met with UM coach Rich Rodriguez at his house Wednesday night and will serve as communicators between players and coaches.

Yeah... If I was Mr. Trent, I's also be down on my knees praying for help.

One of you youtube wizards needs to redo this famous gospel song in honor of Morgan Trent...

UM coach speaks to Big Ten media

Rob Strickley

Issue date: 7/31/08 Section: Sports

The rocky road to Michigan from West Virginia was the main area of discussion for the new Wolverines head coach Rich Rodriguez. Reporters from all over Big Ten country converged in Chicago to question the legal proceedings of Rodriguez's coaching transition and also inquire about the implementation of his offensive system on a team full of Lloyd Carr's recruits.

After seven months of adapting and settling into his new position, Rodriguez delivered a concise reflection on his coaching change.

"There's a lot of things I would like to talk about but I want to move on," Rodriguez said. "I think that's one of the biggest reasons that everything is in the past. And am I disappointed in certain things, sure I am. I was disappointed in that maybe not all of the things that I thought were truthful had an opportunity to come out."

The apostle crap is begging for farks and gameday signs

It's almost like RR was a gift sent from heaven isn't it?

I mean the comedic potential over the next couple of years is unprecedented.

Right now whenever I think about the TSUN I just start laughing, and the best part is that their fans don't realize they've become a joke. They think all of this is GOOD for their program.

Can't ..keep...typing....laughing...too...hard....tears...oh...god...side...cramping...
