Dabo Swinney goes scorched earth on Pete Golding, Ole Miss over tampering claims
Clemson's Dabo Swinney pubically called out Ole Miss and Pete Golding over tampering with a recruit, and said he's spoken with the NCAA.

If it is, it would be awesome if Smith held a press conference to say he was improperly contacted by xyz university and play a recording of the phone call.

If another two or three coaches call this stuff out in equally detailed manner, then I think things will get addressed by the NCAA. I can see them marshalling their resources to get on top of this issue and lay out some punishments to deter others. Yep, ten or twelve years down the road they will declare the guilty ones and set out some serious punishment, but it won't be able to be implemented because, well, you can't punish those kids, can you?

Too soon old, too late smart
Kinda think the NCAA handles itself much like the Supreme Court. In other words, they'll decide which problem they want to hear/go after. Tampering is wrong certainly, but sounds like it would be labor intensive to collect documentation from unwilling participants, and in the end, would come down to a 'He said, he said' kinda thing. And proving beyond a reasonable doubt might be darn neigh impossible. And Steve 19 is right, the kids cannot be punished, they actually benefit. And most assistant coaches are expendable...just ask Xichigan...

If the NCAA had any integrity, they would take about 1 week to verify what Dabo said, and if true immediately say the kid could never play football for Ole Miss.
After that, they can determine any further penalties.
So that won’t happen.
