Not only is Dabo a charlatan, he's also the CFB version of Jimmy Swaggart, so there's that.
Add in the Clemson cult following where Dabo's word is as good as gold, and you get 'Fuck Dabo'....

As a person who has strong religious beliefs, I guess the problem is one of power relations. There is nothing wrong with holding strong religious beliefs. When those beliefs are presented in a way that doesn't allow a player to independently investigate the truth of a religion or that suggests that rejecting the message may impact on opportunities to play or progress, then I think it is wrong.

I don't think it's that deep. I think these idiots just think that playing for Clemson is somehow what God wants, and that Dabo has been chosen to save these select few who just so happen to be fast and strong with football pads on.

And you think that zealots like Dabo don't create an institutional culture within their programs where players feel pressure to conform to and adopt a particular sectarian religious viewpoint? Those coaches control your playing time and chance of getting to the NFL. Saying, "no thanks, I don't believe in god" isn't as free and easy a choice as it might appear.
